Damascus\/Daraa, SANA –\u00a0A terrorist car bomb attack hit Masaken Barzeh neighborhood in Damascus city on
\nTuesday.<\/p>\n

Interior Minister Maj. Gen. Mohammad al-Shaar said the bombing targeted the families staying at the Police Club and passersby as the road is open to the residents of the neighborhood.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the reporters at the site of the attack, al-Shaar said three civilians were killed and 14 were injured.<\/p>\n

He noted that a committee from the Criminal Security and Police departments in Barzeh has been formed “to know all the details” of the terrorist attack.<\/p>\n

SANA reporter said the bombing took place near the Police Club and the fruit and vegetable market in the area, causing material damage to the Club’s building, the market and the nearby building of the General Establishment for Mills.<\/p>\n

The Cabinet condemned the terrorist bombing, with Prime Minister Wael al-Halaqi saying in a statement that the armed terrorist organizations have resorted to these “cowardly” acts as they are reeling under the Syrian Arab Army’s victories.<\/p>\n

The Syrians will continue their fight against terrorism no matter what, he added.<\/p>\n

Minister of Health Nizar Yazigi visited Ibn al-Nafees Hospital to check on the condition of the\u00a0people injured in the attack.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, the terrorist organization of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) claimed\u00a0responsibility for the bombing on social media.<\/p>\n

In a relevant context, terrorists fired mortar and rocket shells at residential neighborhoods in Daraa city, claiming the live of a civilian and injuring two others.<\/p>\n

A source at Daraa Governorate told SANA reporter that 7 shells landed in neighborhoods in Daraa city, noting that one of which hit the area around the main bakery in Daraa al-Mahatta neighborhood, leaving one person dead.<\/p>\n

Two other persons were injured by the shell in Daraa al-Mahatta, the source added.<\/p>\n
