Tehran, SANA- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran Ali Khamenei stressed that the \u00a0Syrian people are the ones who determine the future of the country, neither Americans nor Europeans can have a say in this matter.
\nKhamenei’s remarks came during a meeting with President John Dramani Mahama of Ghana in Tehran Sunday heading a high-ranking delegation.
\nHe added that Iran’s firm policy towards Syria is clearly manifested in supporting peace and its continuous efforts to resolve the case in the favor of the Syrian people.
\nKhamenei said that the solution to the crisis in Syria, combating terrorism and ending the Palestinian people’s suffering mainly depends on enhancing cooperation and rapprochement between independent countries.
\nHe noted that terrorism in the region and Africa is planned by US, British and Zionist intelligence apparatus to destabilize security in the region and fuel wars serving the interests of major powers.
\nFor his part, Mahama underlined Iran’s serious efforts to combat terrorism and end the Syrian crisis, calling for settling it through political means.
\nMeans of boosting bilateral cooperation, the Palestinian Cause and the suffering of Palestinian people were on the table.
