{"id":71155,"date":"2016-03-03T17:13:29","date_gmt":"2016-03-03T15:13:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sana.sy\/en\/?p=71155"},"modified":"2016-03-03T17:17:36","modified_gmt":"2016-03-03T15:17:36","slug":"de-mistura-cessation-of-hostilities-in-syria-is-fragile-but-holding","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/?p=71155","title":{"rendered":"De Mistura: Cessation of hostilities in Syria is holding but fragile"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Geneva, SANA &#8211; UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura said on Thursday the cessation of hostilities in Syria is holding but remains fragile after six days.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The situation therefore could be summarized as fragile, success is not guaranteed but progress has been visible,&#8221; de Mistura told reporters.<\/p>\n<p>He said there were incidents where the cessation of hostilities was breached, noting that there were contacts to contain those incidents.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The important thing is to start the momentum reaching the point when the political aspect will be addressed because that is what will make the endgame a stable one in Syria,&#8221; the UN Syria envoy added.<\/p>\n<p>The cessation of hostilities in Syria started on Saturday in implementation of a Russian\u2013U.S. agreement adopted unanimously by the UN Security Council in accordance with Resolution No. 2268.<\/p>\n<p>However, the agreement was breached 52 times by some terrorist organizations, according to the Russian center at Hmeimeem base that is coordinating the cessation of hostilities.<\/p>\n<p>De Mistura plans to start a round of Syrian-Syrian talks on March 9.<\/p>\n<p>Qabas\/ H.
