Havana, SANA, Cuba expressed its readiness to\u00a0provide Syria with the necessary available\u00a0pharmaceutical materials based on the\u00a0distinguished historical relations between the two\u00a0countries and people and the political and\u00a0humanitarian commitment towards Syria in its\u00a0current circumstances, Vice President of the\u00a0Council of Ministers, Ricardo Cabrisas told Adib\u00a0Mayalleh, the Governor of the Central Bank of\u00a0Syria and the accompanying delegation during a\u00a0meeting in Havana Saturday.<\/p>\n

Cabrisas also expressed Cuba’s readiness to expand\u00a0cooperation between the two countries in different\u00a0fields of economy, trade, agriculture and\u00a0education by making use of friendship, solidarity,\u00a0joint ties and political will and desire from both\u00a0friendly countries.<\/p>\n

The Cuban official indicated that his country is\u00a0still adherent to its principles of standing by\u00a0the peoples who defend their sovereignty and\u00a0independence in the face of imperialist aggression\u00a0and conspiracies.<\/p>\n

Earlier Saturday, the visiting Syrian delegation\u00a0met with the Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and\u00a0Investment Rodrigo Malmierca who affirmed that\u00a0Cuba and Syria share joint vision and political\u00a0stances towards different issues and reject
\nforeign interference in the countries’ internal\u00a0affairs since both countries are in self-defense\u00a0positions.<\/p>\n

Malmierca hailed Syria’s steadfastness in the face\u00a0of the aggression it is exposed to. Syria is\u00a0still strong and achieves daily victories and we\u00a0have to provide it with assistance in its fight\u00a0and defense against such continuous aggression,\u00a0he said, focusing on the necessity of finding out\u00a0new fields for cooperation and keeping contacts\u00a0for promoting investment opportunities which could\u00a0be invested later.<\/p>\n

For his part, Mayalleh briefed the Cuban Minister\u00a0on the circumstances which Syria has been\u00a0undergoing due to five years of war, hailing Cuban\u00a0people’s political stances in support of Syria and\u00a0the assistance it provides in the medicine field\u00a0and the constructive cooperation felicitations it\u00a0shows during cooperation talks of the Syrian
\ndelegation with the concerned Cuban sides.<\/p>\n

Syria’s delegation Saturday meetings followed signing a banking arrangement agreement for\u00a0settling debts after discussions with different\u00a0Cuban medicine companies where some important\u00a0results were achieved for importing pharmaceutical
\nmaterials from the Cuban four companies.<\/p>\n

Syria and Cuba signed last December a framework\u00a0agreement on cooperation between the Health\u00a0Ministry on the one hand and the Cuban External\u00a0Trade and Foreign Investment Ministry and the\u00a0Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Industry Group
\n(BioCubaFarma) on the other during a visit by\u00a0Syria’s Health Minister Dr. Nizar Yazigi.<\/p>\n
