{"id":74151,"date":"2016-04-12T08:00:43","date_gmt":"2016-04-12T05:00:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sana.sy\/en\/?p=74151"},"modified":"2016-04-12T11:06:28","modified_gmt":"2016-04-12T08:06:28","slug":"electoral-silence-came-into-effect-at-0700-tuesday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/?p=74151","title":{"rendered":"Electoral silence came into effect at 07:00 Tuesday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Damascus, SANA, The electoral silence for People&#8217;s\u00a0Assembly elections came into effect at 07:00 on\u00a0Tuesday morning as it was announced on Monday by\u00a0the Higher Judicial Committee for Elections\u00a0(HJCE).<\/p>\n<p>Decree No. 63 set Wednesday, April 13th, 2016 as a\u00a0date for electing members of the People&#8217;s Assembly\u00a0for the 2nd legislative term.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, Head of HJCE Hisham al-Sha&#8217;ar told SANA\u00a0said that electoral silence would start Tuesday\u00a0morning at 07:00 and candidates would not be\u00a0allowed to conduct any kind of electoral\u00a0promotion, pointing out that the concerned\u00a0authorities in provinces will remove banners,\u00a0placards and promotions for the elections&#8217;<br \/>\ncandidates.<\/p>\n<p>Article 58 of the General Elections Law states\u00a0that promotion for election candidates will stop\u00a024 hours prior to the set date for the elections.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, HJCE affirmed preparations for holding\u00a0the upcoming elections of the People&#8217;s Assembly as\u00a0the logistic procedures have been completed for polling stations which exceed 7,000 \u00a0in the\u00a0provinces across the country.<\/p>\n<p>The HJCE was formed on April 24th 2014, by Decree\u00a0No 133 for the year 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Barry\/ Ghossoun<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Damascus, SANA, The electoral silence for People&#8217;s\u00a0Assembly elections came into effect at 07:00 on\u00a0Tuesday morning as it was announced on Monday by\u00a0the Higher Judicial Committee for Elections\u00a0(HJCE).
