Provinces, SANA – Army units and the Air Force on Thursday continued targeting terrorist organizations’ dens, inflicting heavy losses upon them in personnel and equipment.<\/p>\n
Damascus Countryside<\/span><\/p>\n A military source announced on Thursday establishing control over vast areas in Abu al-Shamat area in the north eastern countryside of Damascus after inflicting heavy losses in personnel and munitions upon ISIS terrorists.<\/p>\n The source added in a statement to SANA that an army unit carried out on Thursday a wide operation against gatherings of ISIS terrorists in Abu al-Shamat area 40 kilometers to the north east of Damascus with a cover from the Air Force which ended by establishing full control over the hills and quarries in the area.<\/p>\n A number of ISIS terrorists were killed and others injured during the operation and their vehicles and fortifications were destroyed.<\/p>\n Engineering units in the army secured the area soon and dismantled the explosive devices and mines which were planted earlier by terrorists before being killed.<\/p>\n The army’s air force targeted gatherings of ISIS terrorists and their fortifications in al-Dmeir area and east of Tishreen thermal station in Damascus countryside.<\/p>\n The targeted terrorists suffered heavy losses in the airstrikes and many of their vehicles that were loaded with arms and ammunition were destroyed.<\/p>\n Homs<\/span><\/p>\n Positions and vehicles for ISIS terrorists north and east of Palmyra city in Homs countryside were also destroyed.<\/p>\n Deir Ezzor<\/span><\/p>\n The army’s air force hit ISIS terrorists’ sites in al-Mrei\u2019iyeh and al-Jafra villages in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor province, destroying vehicles equipped with heavy and medium machine guns and killing a number of terrorists.<\/p>\n Sweida<\/span><\/p>\n An army unit destroyed several vehicles for ISIS terrorist organization as it targeted a gathering of its members in Rajm al-Dawleh village in the northeastern countryside of Sweida province. A number of terrorists were killed or injured in the operation.<\/p>\n Aleppo<\/span><\/p>\n Army units destroyed sites and vehicles for Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists during an operation against their gatherings in al-Eis and Kafar Naha villages in Aleppo province.<\/p>\n The source told SANA that the army also carried out operations against gatherings of ISIS terrorists and their fortified positions in Abu Taltal and al-Madiouniyeh villages in the direction of al-Bab city and in Souran village, in northeastern Aleppo.<\/p>\n During the operations, a number of vehicles, some equipped with machine guns, and positions were destroyed and a number of terrorists were killed.<\/p>\n In the eastern countryside of Aleppo, army operations continued targeting movements and positions of ISIS terrorists in Rasm al-Alam, destroying a number of vehicles and fortified sites.<\/p>\n Army units, in cooperation with popular defense groups, foiled infiltration attempts by ISIS terrorists in the direction of Khanasir, killing many terrorists and destroying their equipment.<\/p>\n In Aleppo city, an army unit killed a number of terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra-linked groups in al-Lairamoun area.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Provinces, SANA – Army units and the Air Force on Thursday continued targeting terrorist organizations’ dens, inflicting heavy losses upon them in personnel and equipment.
