Moscow, SANA-A source at the Russian Foreign\u00a0Ministry said Thursday that the International\u00a0Syria Support Group (ISSG) is planned to meet on\u00a0May 17 to discuss the developments related to the\u00a0political settlement of the crisis in Syria.<\/p>\n
In a statement to the Russian RIA Novosti News\u00a0Agency, the source said that the fourth round of\u00a0the intra-Syrian talks in Geneva would most likely\u00a0start after the ISSG ministerial meeting.<\/p>\n
For his part, Iranian Assistant Foreign Minister\u00a0for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdullahian announced that the ISSG will meet on\u00a0May 17 and 18 but this date is not final.<\/p>\n
During an interview with Sputnik News Agency,\u00a0Abdullahian said that the ISSG should not make\u00a0decisions on behalf of the Syrian people but has\u00a0to help Syrians make decisions themselves.<\/p>\n
He stressed that Iran, which is an ISSG member,\u00a0will support any activities that will help in\u00a0finding a political solution to the crisis in\u00a0Syria.<\/p>\n
