Moscow, SANA-Russian Defense Ministry announced on\u00a0Friday that the nature of the damage caused in the\u00a0aftermath of a recent attack against a camp for\u00a0the displaced in Idleb countryside indicates that\u00a0the camp was been shelled with rocket launchers
\nwhich are often used by Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist\u00a0organization in the area.<\/p>\n
In a press conference, the Russian Defense\u00a0Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said that\u00a0photos published on social media sites show that\u00a0“there are no shell craters from aircraft\u00a0ammunition and other traces of airstrikes.”<\/p>\n
“Judging by the nature of destruction seen on\u00a0photos and videos, the camp in Idleb could have\u00a0been either intentionally or by mistake struck\u00a0from multiple rocket launchers, which are now\u00a0often used by al-Nusra Front terrorists in the\u00a0area,” Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said.<\/p>\n
He pointed out that no flights were carried out by\u00a0aircrafts, Russian or other, over the camp.<\/p>\n
“We have carefully analyzed the information from\u00a0the flight control area in that region on May 4\u00a0and May 5 2016. There were no flights by Russian\u00a0or any other aircraft over the area,” he added.<\/p>\n
Earlier on Friday, the General Command of the Army\u00a0and Armed Forces dismissed as “untrue” the news\u00a0broadcast by some media outlets that the Syrian\u00a0Army targeted a camp for displaced people in Idleb\u00a0countryside, adding that these news are completely
\nbaseless and aim at diverting attention from the\u00a0crimes committed by the terrorist groups against\u00a0the Syrian people and using them as a leverage in\u00a0the political track.<\/p>\n
