This time, its triumphant return is made possible by Syrian skills and by support from St. Petersburg in Russia which took it upon itself along with the UNESCO to work towards restoring Palmyra to its former glory.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Palmyra-Theatre1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-76700 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Palmyra-Theatre1-300x150.jpg\" alt=\"Palmyra Theatre1\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Palmyra-Theatre1-300x150.jpg 300w, https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Palmyra-Theatre1.jpg 660w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On Thursday, Russian and Syrian Culture Ministers Vladimir Medinsky and Issam Khalil, accompanied by Homs Governor Talal al-Barazi and UNESCO representatives, toured the city of Palmyra to inspect the damage caused by ISIS to the city&#8217;s ancient monuments in order to plan for the restoration of the sites.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Gate-of-the-Sun.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-76624 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Gate-of-the-Sun-300x150.jpg\" alt=\"Gate of the Sun\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Gate-of-the-Sun-300x150.jpg 300w, https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Gate-of-the-Sun.jpg 660w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On a relevant note, around 150 journalists from the United States, Britain, Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, China, Russia, and other countries are documenting the liberation of Palmyra and witnessing the scale of the crimes of ISIS and its blind hatred.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Serbia-and-Russia-......................jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-76523 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Serbia-and-Russia-.....................-300x150.jpg\" alt=\"Serbia and Russia .....................\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Serbia-and-Russia-.....................-300x150.jpg 300w, https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Serbia-and-Russia-......................jpg 660w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A Russian officer who was also touring the city told SANA that all the goals set by the Syrian and Russian leaderships regarding Palmyra gave been achieved, and that the demining process is underway to clear the city and its surroundings of landmines.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Palmyra-Theatre.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-76702 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Palmyra-Theatre-300x150.jpg\" alt=\"Palmyra Theatre\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Palmyra-Theatre-300x150.jpg 300w, https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Palmyra-Theatre.jpg 660w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Syrian Arab Army and supporting forces restored security and stability to the entirety of the city of Palmyra on March 27th 2016.
