Provinces, SANA- The Syrian Army Air Force continued Sunday striking gatherings and fortified positions of ISIS and other terrorist organizations across the country, killing scores of terrorists and destroying their dens and vehicles.<\/p>\n
Aleppo<\/span><\/p>\n Army and Armed Forces units, in cooperation with popular defense groups, continued on Sunday to expand control over al-Castello area at the northern outskirts of Aleppo city, inflicting heavy losses on terrorists.<\/p>\n SANA’s correspondent in Aleppo said on Sunday evening that army units established during the past few hours full control over al-Castello restaurant and three farms next to the nearby stone cliff, continuing their military operations as consecutive collapses in the ranks of terrorists took place.<\/p>\n The correspondent said that there’s no truth to the rumors spread by some malicious channels regarding terrorists making advancements in al-Castello area, saying these rumors are a desperate bid to raise the collapsing morale of terrorists, many of whom have fled en masse, while clashes and disputes erupted among some terrorist groups.<\/p>\n Damascus Countryside<\/span><\/p>\n Army units engaged in heavy clashes with terrorist groups affiliated to Jabhat al-Nusra that attacked military posts in the southwestern countryside of Damascus.<\/p>\n In a statement to SANA, a source on the ground said that army units, in cooperation with popular defense groups, thwarted an attack launched by Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists from the directions of Beit Saber, al-Khazrajiyeh and Hassno on military posts in Saasaa town.<\/p>\n During the clashes, many terrorists were killed and others were injured before the rest fled away. Two vehicles, one of which equipped with a heavy machine gun, were destroyed as well.<\/p>\n Another army unit, in cooperation with popular defense groups operating in Harfa village, foiled during the past few hours an infiltration attempt by Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists from the directions of Beit Jinn and al-Tuloul al-Homr on a military post in the villages’ surroundings, inflicting heavy losses upon the attackers.<\/p>\n \u00a0Hama <\/span><\/p>\n The Syrian army’s air force destroyed positions for ISIS terrorists in Tabaret\u00a0al-Deibeh, Abu Hanaya, Abu Hbeilat and al-Hardaneh\u00a0in the eastern countryside of Salamiyeh in Hama\u00a0province, a military source told SANA.<\/p>\n The source added that the army inflicted heavy\u00a0losses upon the ISIS in personnel and destroyed\u00a0their positions which include weapons and\u00a0machineguns-equipped vehicles.<\/p>\n In the same context, an\u00a0army unit ambushed a terrorist group affiliated to Jabhat al-Nusra near Wadi al-Ezeib on Salamiyeh-Athrya axis in Hama eastern countryside.<\/p>\n Most of the group’s members were killed and large amounts of RPJ shells, anti-tank mines, artillery shells and other types of ammunition, in addition to medium and heavy machine guns, were destroyed.<\/p>\n Homs<\/span><\/p>\n An army unit targeted Jabhat al-Nusra\u00a0hideout near al-Ghajar village roundabout, about\u00a020 km north of Homs city, killing 12 terrorists\u00a0and injuring others, a field source told SANA\u00a0Sunday.<\/p>\n Another army unit killed 13 terrorists from Jabhat\u00a0al-Nusra and other takfiri terrorist groups\u00a0affiliated to it in al-Mahatta village in the\u00a0northern countryside of Homs province.<\/p>\n Terrorist Ahmad Hamzeh, one of Jabhat al-Nusra\u00a0field leaders and two terrorists of foreign\u00a0nationalities were identified among the killed.<\/p>\n Deir Ezzor<\/span><\/p>\n The Syrian army air force destroyed ISIS terrorists’ fortified positions and vehicles in al-Bghailiye to the west of Deir Ezzor city.<\/p>\n A military source said that the army’s sorties targeted ISIS terrorists’ gatherings and dens near al-Jafra, in al-Kassarat area and al-Tharda to the south of Deir Ezzor city where many terrorists were killed and their weapons destroyed.<\/p>\n To the southwest of the city, the sorties targeted fortified dens and vehicles of the terrorist organization, killing many of the terrorists in Shola village.<\/p>\n Quneitra\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The army units \u00a0destroyed a vehicle equipped with heavy machinegun for Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization in al-Hamidiyeh village in Quneitra.<\/p>\n A filed source told SANA that an army unit carried out a precise operation against a terrorist group gathering in the vicinity of the main Square in Quneitra, killing a number of terrorists, injuring others and destroying their weapons.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, SANA reporter said that terrorist groups opened fire from their heavy machineguns towards the citizen’s houses in Hadar village, causing material damage to some houses.<\/p>\n Daraa<\/span><\/p>\n An army unit destroyed fortified positions and a launcher pad for Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists to the southeast of Busra Square in Daraa al-Balad area in Daraa southern province.<\/p>\n The\u00a0military source said that another army unit targeted the terrorists’ dens in the area surrounding al-Jomrok al-Qadeem (old customs), destroying a car and killing a number of terrorists.<\/p>\n An army unit also killed a number of terrorists linked to Jabhat al-Nusra as they were involved in a monitoring operation in Daraa al-Mahatta.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Provinces, SANA- The Syrian Army Air Force continued Sunday striking gatherings and fortified positions of ISIS and other terrorist organizations across the country, killing scores of terrorists and destroying their dens and vehicles.
