Meeting with the Melkite Greek Catholic Patriarch\u00a0of Antioch and All the East Gregory III Laham on\u00a0Wednesday, Khamis referred to the role which men of religion
\ncould play in conveying the true image of what is\u00a0going on in Syria in terms of the systematic terrorism\u00a0targeting its people.<\/p>\n
For his part, Patriarch Laham expressed his\u00a0confidence that Syria will remain an example of\u00a0coexistence and tolerance among religions, asserting that Syria
\nwill defeat its enemies thanks to the resilience\u00a0of its people and steadfastness of its army.<\/p>\n
On August 7th, Patriarch Laham called in Beirut\u00a0for a unified international stance to defeat the\u00a0terrorists, describing the terrorist attacks hitting in Syria,\u00a0Iraq, Palestine and other world countries as “a\u00a0shame on humanity”.<\/p>\n
