{"id":85706,"date":"2016-08-18T10:08:08","date_gmt":"2016-08-18T07:08:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sana.sy\/en\/?p=85706"},"modified":"2016-08-18T17:14:01","modified_gmt":"2016-08-18T14:14:01","slug":"national-fund-for-social-subsidies-discusses-work-mechanisms-and-proposals-for-future-projects","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.sana.sy\/en\/?p=85706","title":{"rendered":"National Fund for Social Subsidies discusses work mechanisms and proposals for future projects"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Damascus, SANA &#8211; The National Fund for Social Subsidies discussed on Thursday the work mechanisms of the Fund and means to achieve its goals in supporting social empowerment of citizens within the government&#8217;s vision to enhance the social security system.<\/p>\n<p>Discussions during the meeting, which was headed by Prime Minister Imad Khamis, who is the Chairman of the Fund&#8217;s Board of Directors, focused on continuing support to the beneficiaries of the Fund-backed projects, highlighting the Fund&#8217;s role in financing micro-enterprises and holding training sessions for development and services projects.<\/p>\n<p>Proposals put forth by the Board of Directors for future projects in a number of provinces such as Lattakia, Sweida and Hama were addressed.<\/p>\n<p>The Board members stressed the need to set a definite policy and management of the Fund and develop mechanisms to provide emergency aid to displaced families.<\/p>\n<p>The National Fund for Social Subsidies was established by Legislative Decree No. 9 for 2011. With its 13 branches spread in the provinces, it works on providing support to poor families by offering aid and empowering them through establishing small and micro projects.<\/p>\n<p>M. al-Frieh\/H.
