Lattakia, SANA – The number of breaches of the\u00a0cessation of hostilities agreement in Syria has\u00a0reached 1116 since the agreement came into effect on February 27th\u00a0after 8 new breaches were observed over the past\u00a024 hours.<\/p>\n
The Hmeimim-based Russian Coordination Center\u00a0monitoring the agreement said in a statement that\u00a0terrorists of the so-called “Jaish al-Islam” breached the agreement
\nsix times in Damascus countryside, while the other\u00a0two breaches were committed by terrorists of the so-called\u00a0“Ahrar al-Sham” and the “Free Army” in Lattakia\u00a0province.<\/p>\n
10 new villages in Homs province and 4 others in\u00a0Lattakia joined the cessation of hostilities over\u00a0the past 24 hours, raising the total number of towns and areas
\nthat are part of the agreement to 504, according\u00a0to the center.<\/p>\n
The center added that ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra\u00a0terrorists continue their attempts to undermine\u00a0the agreement as they targeted with rocket and mortar shells al-Ansari, al-Khaldiyeh, al-Lairamoun and al-Zahra\u00a0neighborhoods and the Leather Factory, and the Castello commercial\u00a0center in Aleppo province, in addition to\u00a0targeting a number of towns in Damascus countryside and a number of\u00a0neighborhoods in Daraa province.<\/p>\n
The cessation of hostilities agreement doesn’t\u00a0include ISIS, Jabhat al-Nusra or other groups\u00a0designated as terrorist organizations by the UN Security\u00a0Council.<\/p>\n
