Moscow, SANA- the Russian Foreign Ministry warned\u00a0against the repercussions of the politicized\u00a0decision of the International Organization for the\u00a0Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) on Syria as\u00a0disappointing, and may cause complications.<\/p>\n
Director of the Foreign Ministry Department for\u00a0Non-Proliferation and Arms Control Mikhail Ulyanov\u00a0said in a statement on Saturday that the\u00a0performance of the OPCW, which plays no more than\u00a0a technical role, became politicized, stressing\u00a0that the decision adopted against Syria will not\u00a0serve improving the work of the organization and\u00a0may cause a number of complications.<\/p>\n
Last month, the Foreign and Expatriates Ministry\u00a0affirmed that the latest accusations against Syria\u00a0which were included in the report of joint inquiry\u00a0of the UN and Organization for the prohibition of\u00a0chemical weapons (OPCW), formed according to
\nSecurity council resolution No.2235, were not\u00a0based on any tangible evidence and they didn’t\u00a0reflect any objectivity or accuracy in their\u00a0conclusions.<\/p>\n
The Syrian Arab republic has repeatedly denied\u00a0all allegations circulated by some western\u00a0departments and their tools about the use of\u00a0chemical poisonous materials by Syrian sides, like\u00a0chlorine gas, during military acts which take\u00a0place between the Syrian Arab armed forces and the\u00a0terrorist groups, the Ministry said in a\u00a0statement about a report by the joint\u00a0international inquiry mechanism.<\/p>\n
The Russian diplomat said that those, who\u00a0attempted to make the organization which issued\u00a0this decision as a tool to achieve their\u00a0geopolitical goals, are holding responsible for\u00a0the repercussions of such decision.<\/p>\n
He described the decision as disappointing and\u00a0passive.<\/p>\n
On Friday, Russian Defense Ministry asked the OPCW\u00a0to consider sending its experts to Aleppo’s\u00a0‘1070’ area as soon as possible on a mission to\u00a0establish the facts of the use of chemical agents\u00a0as weapons.<\/p>\n
