Moscow, SANA_ The Russian Defense Ministry stressed that the areas in Aleppo eastern neighborhoods, which were regained by the Syrian Arab Army, haven’t received any UN aid yet.<\/p>\n
“After the Syrian Army liberated more than 40% of the eastern districts of the city with a population of about 90,000, proposals on humanitarian aid delivery stopped coming. Unfortunately, local residents have not been receiving any UN aid,”\u00a0Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said Friday.<\/p>\n
Konashenkov voiced hope that UN humanitarian adviser Jan Egeland would “instead of unsubstantiated allegations finally embark on real work of providing humanitarian aid to the residents of eastern Aleppo.”<\/p>\n
” We don\u2019t know what Egeland meant when he said that 27,000 to 30,000 people were receiving aid,” Konashenkov added.<\/p>\n
He pointed out that the Russian Coordination Center\u2019s officers had been delivering tons of food products, medicine and other essential supplies to Aleppo on a daily basis.<\/p>\n
