Pyongyang, SANA- Democratic People’s Republic of\u00a0Korea (DPRK) commemorates the 5th anniversary of\u00a0the death of its leader Kim Jong Il, who passed\u00a0away on Dec 17, 2011.<\/p>\n
Koreans show respect to their leader who spent his\u00a0life in serving their issues and dedicated his\u00a0life for the future of his country based on the\u00a0principle of caring for future through setting\u00a0up plans and policies which meet the aspirations\u00a0of the future as he managed in leading his country\u00a0in a critical period in facing the threats of the\u00a0US camp and its siege and sanctions.<\/p>\n
In a statement, DPRK Embassy in Damascus said that\u00a0“Thanks to leader Jong Il policies, the interest\u00a0of the Korean people became the criterion of all\u00a0plans and policies in the country that were\u00a0maintained through the implementation of the free
\nhealth care and education.”<\/p>\n
The confidence of the Korean people in their\u00a0leader Jong Il led to unifying society, the
\nstatement added.<\/p>\n
DPRK carried out at Jong Il era huge and gigantic\u00a0projects in different domains, mainly space,\u00a0agriculture, electricity, tourist, medicine.<\/p>\n
However, Jong Il policies made DPRK a strong and\u00a0prosperous socialist state despite of being\u00a0targeted by the American colonialist.<\/p>\n
Jong Il came into office in 1994 and he was the\u00a0supreme leader of the Korean popular army and the\u00a0secretary general of the Korean Labor Party. He\u00a0passed away on Dec 17, 2011.<\/p>\n
