style=\"text-align: justify\">El monasterio arqueol\u00f3gico de Malah se sit\u00faa en el sureste de la provincia sure\u00f1a de Sweida.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">En el siglo IV d.C., los \u00e1rabes Ghassanid construyeron varias iglesias y monasterios en Deir Malah, entre los cuales el gran monasterio de la ciudad.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">El monasterio (Deir en \u00e1rabe) se destaca por sus piedras bas\u00e1lticas y escrituras griegas que datan de la \u00e9poca bizantina.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">La antigua torre del monasterio que se remonta al a\u00f1o 372 d.C. y form\u00f3 junto con una serie de otras torres en sitios cercanos, un centro de vigilancia y un punto de aduanas para los convoyes cargados con sal procedentes del este de Jordania.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Malah se eleva a unos 1375 metros sobre el nivel del mar, y se encuentra a 15 km al este de la ciudad de Salkhad.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Su nombre, sal en espa\u00f1ol, origina de las caravanas de sal que pasaban en tiempos pasados por dicha zona.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color:
