Damascus, SANA Revolutionary Youth Union (RYU)\u00a0launched on Sunday an environement volunteer work\u00a0campaign across Syria under the title of Together\u00a0Hand in Hand for a Beautiful Syria Again with the\u00a0participation of 8,000 youths.<\/p>\n
The campaign will run through August 22, with a\u00a0variety of activities, including cleaning, blood\u00a0donation, rehabilitation of parks and painting
\nwalls in the colors of the Syrian national flag.<\/p>\n
In a statement to SANA, Head of RYU Volunteer Work\u00a0and Environment Office Solina Hamada said this\u00a0initiative “reflects our belief that youths are an\u00a0essential part of the homeland, and they have an\u00a0active role to play in reconstruction and building\u00a0the future of the country.”<\/p>\n
Among the activities will be helping farmers in\u00a0planting and harvesting crops as well as working\u00a0at phosphate mines, Hamada added.<\/p>\n
In the fraemwork of the nationwide campaign, a\u00a0local campaign to carry out cleaning and painting\u00a0activities was launched in Damascus starting from
\nthe President Bridge in Baramkeh area.<\/p>\n
“We want to be part of making our country more\u00a0beautiful against all odds,” said Dana Rheima,\u00a0echoing a shared view of the other participants.<\/p>\n
