Damascus, SANA_ The volunteer team “Syria’s\u00a0Eagles” on Sunday issued a documentary titled\u00a0“Freedom” which tackles the concept of freedom as
\nperceived by Syrians as opposed to the version of\u00a0freedom promoted by the West and exploited to\u00a0justify its wars.<\/p>\n
The 39-minutes documentary details how the West is\u00a0exploiting the concepts of freedom and democracy\u00a0by promoting and pushing versions of
\nthem that manipulate people’s emotions and take advantage of people’s needs in order to twist\u00a0facts, fabricate and distort events, and force
\nalien concepts on societies in order to tear them\u00a0apart\u00a0from within.<\/p>\n
Member of the team’s board of directors Amer Abu\u00a0Hamed said the documentary is the team’s way of contributing to the terrorism and media warfare\u00a0targeting Syria.<\/p>\n
He said that the message the team wants to relay\u00a0through it is that Syria’s youths are aware of\u00a0what is happening in their country and realize\u00a0that the
\nWest is attempting to force-feed people concepts\u00a0and terminology that serve its agendas, and also\u00a0that\u00a0Syrians are fully capable of achieving genuine\u00a0freedom and democracy and preventing Syria’s unity\u00a0and cohesion without the need for imported \u00a0propaganda.<\/p>\n
The project’s director Hazem Bukhari said that the\u00a0documentary contains material never seen before, and that it details how media has been employing\u00a0misdirection since WWII and up until today, in \u00a0addition to contrasting the true meaning of\u00a0freedom as opposed to the blood-soaked version the\u00a0West is trying to promote.<\/p>\n
The documentary’s first screening was held in the\u00a0Arab Cultural Center in Abu Rummana neighborhood\u00a0in Damascus.<\/p>\n
