Damascus, SANA – President Bashar al-Assad received Sunday a cable from First Religious Judge in Damascus Mahmoud al-Ma’arawi confirming that Monday, July 28th,2014 is the first Day of Eid al-Fitr.<\/p>\n
The First judge congratulated President al-Assad on this occasion, praying that it will bring good and blessing to the Syrian people and to the Arab and Islamic nations and herald Syria’s victory.<\/p>\n
On this occasion, President al-Assad also received a congratulatory cable from Caretaker Minister of Religious Endowments Dr. Mohammad Abdul-Sattar al-Sayyed, hoping God would protect Syria from its enemies and empower the Syrian army to defeat terrorism, praying for the rest of the martyrs\u2019 souls.<\/p>\n
In a similar cable, Caretaker Justice Minister Najm al-Ahmad congratulated President al-Assad and voiced hope that the Syrian Arab Army will defeat the terrorists and bring security back to the homeland.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Grand Mufti of the Republic Ahmad Badr Eddin Hassoun said in a congratulatory cable that Eid al-Fitr marks over three years of Syria standing strong in the face of extremism and terrorism and all its enemies, hoping this occasion will herald a brighter future for Syria and its people.<\/p>\n
Earlier, First Religious Judge in Damascus Mahmoud al-Ma\u2019arawi announced that Monday, July 28th, 2014 is the first day of Eid al-Fitr holiday in Syria.<\/p>\n
