DPRK officially recognizes independence of Donetsk and Lugansk republics

Pyongyang, SANA-The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) has officially recognized the independence of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, expressing its desire to develop friendly governmental relations with them.

The DPRK news agency reported that Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui yesterday sent two letters to the foreign ministries of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, saying that Pyongyang has decided to recognize the independence of these two republics and is willing to develop government relations with them in accordance with the ideals of independence, peace and friendship.
