Belarus shots down a Ukrainian reconnaissance drone

Minsk, SANA- Belarusian Border Guard Service announced that the personnel intercepted and shot down a Ukrainian drone in Gomel region.

“A border guard patrol, which was carrying out border protection tasks on Dnieper River, was able to detect an air drone that illegally crossed the border from Ukrainian territory” as TASS news agency quoted the Service as saying in a statement.

 The Service added that the drone was implementing espionage and reconnaissance operations over the border lands of the Republic of Belarus.”
