Health Minister discusses strengthening health cooperation with Lebanese and Iraqi counterparts

Geneva, SANA- Minister of Health Dr. Musab al-Ali met with his Lebanese counterpart Rakan Nasreddine and Iraqi counterpart Dr. Saleh al-Hasnawi on the sidelines of the 78th session of the World Health Assembly (WHA78), currently being held in Geneva.

During two separate meetings, the ministers discussed ways to enhance cooperation, addressing shared health security concerns, and establishing a sustainable healthcare system that ensures optimal delivery of medical services.

The 78th session of the World Health Assembly kicked off Monday in Geneva under the theme “One World for Health” and will continue until May 27.

The World Health Assembly serves as the highest decision-making body within the World Health Organization, responsible for setting policies, approving budgets, and convening delegations from all member states.
