Head of National Authority for Transitional Justice, French Chargé d’Affaires discuss ways to support justice process in Syria

Damascus, SANA-The Head of the National Authority for Transitional Justice, Mr. Abdul Basit Abdul Latif, met Chargé d’Affaires of the French Embassy in Syria, Jean-Baptiste Faivre, to discuss avenues of cooperation and France’s support for the Commission.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the necessary requirements for the transitional justice process in Syria and explored ways to bolster this path. The discussion also delved into potential mechanisms for collaboration to enhance efforts aimed at ensuring accountability and reconciliation.

The Authority expressed its appreciation for initiatives supporting transitional justice and reaffirmed its commitment to fostering lasting stability in Syria.
