Director of the Syrian Exhibitions and International Markets Establishment: “Food Expo” stimulates investment in the food sector in Syria

Damascus, SANA-The Director General of the Syrian Exhibitions and International Markets Establishment, Mohammad Hamza, emphasized the importance of the “Food Expo 2025” food industries exhibition, as it is the first of its kind after the liberation. He also emphasized the exhibition’s role in stimulating investment in the food sector in light of the economic openness Syria is witnessing.
The current exhibition witnessed a large turnout, with 200 companies from more than 10 countries participating. He noted that most of the participants focused on local food industries and Syrian agricultural products.
Hamza emphasized the Syrian government’s efforts to maintain and support food security, especially with the presence of many countries interested in investing in Syria.
Regarding upcoming exhibitions, Hamza indicated that the establishment has a plan to hold several exhibitions specializing in the agriculture, oil, energy, and reconstruction sectors, in addition to exhibitions on medical, cosmetics, and textile machinery.
The exhibition, which spans an area of 25,000 m², will run until June 27th. It targets a wide range of exporters and importers, decision-makers, businessmen, food traders, owners of tourist facilities and shopping centers, as well as researchers, academics, and those interested in food issues.
