Keda holds a meeting with the President and members of the Arab Writers Union in Syria

Damascus, SANA – Assistant Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Republic for Cabinet Affairs, Engineer Ali Keda, held a meeting Friday with the President of the Arab Writers Union in Syria, poet Muhammad Taha al-Othman, and members of the Union’s Executive Office, to discuss ways to boost the Union’s cultural role in Syrian society.

During the meeting, the most prominent challenges facing the Union’s work were discussed, with emphasis on the need to consider the Union as a national partner in promoting the cultural situation and conveying the Syrian message to various parts of the world.

Engineer Keda stressed the importance of the Union’s efforts to spread cultural awareness, noting that this institution plays a pivotal role in the battle that Syria is waging to confront the legacy of the criminal regime.
