Interior Ministry arrests two war criminals

Lattakia, SANA-The Internal Security Command in Lattakia province, in cooperation with the Counter-Terrorism Branch, arrested on Saturday two of the most prominent war criminals still at large: Anwar al-Rayhan and his father, Adel Ahmed al-Rayhan.

The Interior Ministry stated via its Telegram channel that the two criminals are known for their association with sectarian militias and have a long history of violations, starting with suppressing peaceful demonstrations in Jisr ash-Shughūr city, launching raids and liquidations against revolutionaries, and committing numerous crimes in the coastal region, most notably their involvement in the 2013 al-Bayda massacre, which claimed the lives of hundreds of civilians, and ending with their participation in supporting the former regime’s campaigns in the southern countryside of Idleb province.
