Idlib & Hama, SANA-Syrian Civil Defense firefighting teams-controlled forest fires that broke out in the western Idlib countryside last night after 15 hours of continuous work. The Civil Defense stated that seven firefighting teams participated in the extinguishing operations, facing significant difficulties due to the difficult mountainous terrain, the lack of fire lines, strong winds, and the remoteness of water sources.
Firefighting teams were able to control a massive forest fire that broke out in the vicinity of “Foro” village and the mountains overlooking the Ghab Plain in Hama countryside. This came after continuous efforts that lasted for about 10 hours, amidst significant difficulties, most notably the explosion of war remnants and mines. The teams directly confronted the flames and prevented them from spreading to other areas.
