Deputy Minister of Local Administration discusses with Syrian community in Turkey to harness their expertise

Istanbul, SANA-Deputy Minister of Local Administration and Environment Dhafer Mohammad al-Omar discussed with a number of members of the Syrian community in Turkey ways to benefit from the expertise of expatriates and invest their energies in Syria.

During the meeting, which took place at the iMECE Hall in the Basaksehir district of Istanbul and was attended by approximately 80 participants, the deputy minister expressed the Ministry’s keenness to strengthen direct communication channels with Syrians abroad, listen to their concerns and suggestions, and support local initiatives inside Syria.

The meeting emphasized the need to transform periodic meetings with representatives of Syrian communities abroad into effective participatory platforms that contribute to shaping local policies at home and enhance Syrians’ sense of responsibility and collective ownership of their country’s future.
