Dubai, SANA-The Syrian Science Olympiad team won four medals (one silver and three bronze) at the 57th International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO 2025), hosted by the United Arab Emirates from July 5 to 14, with the participation of students from 90 countries around the world.
The Excellence and Creativity Authority stated in a statement that the silver medal was won by student Salma Omran from Homs, while the bronze medals were won by students Jad Ahmad from Hama, Elio Mashraqi from Homs, and Maha al-Obeid from Latakia.
According to the Authority, Syria has achieved first place in the Arab world in this important international science competition.
