Damascus, SANA- Director of Government Communications at the Ministry of Energy, Ahmed Al-Sulaiman, denied what was rumored through some various media outlets about a deliberate cutting off of electricity and water in Suwayda Governorate.
“The outages that occurred during the past hours were due to reasons beyond the ministry’s control, most notably the Israeli targeting of infrastructure in the governorate, in addition to acts of sabotage carried out by groups outside the law”, Al-Sulaiman confirmed in a statement on Sunday.
Al-Sulaiman stressed that the Ministry is very keen to provide the best services to the citizens in Sweida province, and to work to restore stability to the electrical and water networks as soon as possible.
