Damascus, SANA- The Syrian Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA) categorically denied reports circulated about the closure of Damascus International Airport.
In a statement to SANA, the Authority’s Deputy Chairman, Amjad Nakhal, confirmed that the airport is operating normally, as usual, with scheduled flights proceeding without any cancellations, modifications, or postponements, and that the flow of arriving and departing passengers is proceeding normally.
He pointed out that the airport received 28 flights arriving from several destinations on Sunday, and is preparing to receive 29 more flights today.
Nakhal stressed that all information circulated on the airport’s closure is completely false, calling on the media to be accurate and obtain information from official sources.
