UNRWA calls for an immediate lifting of siege imposed on Gaza

Amman, SANA- United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) called for immediate lifting of the siege imposed on Gaza to allow delivering humanitarian aid.

The UNRWA said in a tweet posted on its “X” platform Wednesday that it has thousands of trucks in neighboring countries just waiting to enter Gaza.

People in Gaza, including UNRWA staff, are suffering and fainted due to the bad conditions, and children and people with disabilities are dying from hunger and severe malnutrition, according to the tweet.

The UN Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) warned Monday that families in Gaza Strip are facing catastrophic hunger.
