Amman, SANA- The Chairman of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Commerce, Khalil Hajj Tawfiq, called for the establishment of agricultural cooperation that combines the Kingdom of Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon, as a crucial factor in boosting food security and sustainable economic growth in the region.
The Jordanian news agency, Petra, quoted the Chamber of Commerce as saying in a statement published Wednesday: “Hajj Tawfiq stressed during his meeting with members of the boards of directors of the two chambers yesterday evening with the president and members of the Syrian Agricultural Engineers Syndicate that this tripartite cooperation represents an integrated platform for bringing together the experiences, strengths, and advantages of each country, especially with the presence of many common points between them, which contributes to reaching a state of agricultural and food integration.”
For his part, the President of the Syrian Agricultural Engineers Syndicate, Mustafa Al-Mustafa, expressed his deep appreciation for Jordan’s stances, which embody unwavering and continuous support for the Syrian people under various circumstances.
He emphasized his pride in the existing partnerships with the Jordanian private sector, which aim to support Syria’s agricultural sector and enhance agricultural investment opportunities.
Mustafa expressed Syria’s keenness to provide all necessary facilities to attract investments and enhance cooperation with Jordan in various fields, in a way that serves the interests of the two brotherly peoples.
