Syria, France discuss enhancing educational cooperation

Damascus, SANA – Minister of Education, Dr. Muhammad Abdel Rahman Turko, discussed on Wednesday with the Chargé d’Affaires of the French Embassy in Damascus, Jean-Baptiste Faivre, and the accompanying delegation, ways to enhance educational cooperation between the two countries.

Minister Turko stated that the ministry has developed a long-term strategic plan and an emergency response plan to improve the educational situation, focusing on four key elements: developing teachers’ skills, improving curricula, supporting students, and rehabilitating school infrastructure.

The French representative expressed his willingness to actively collaborate with the Syrian Ministry of Education, emphasizing the importance of strong relations and the exchange of experiences for the development of education systems.
