Beirut, SANA- Lebanese Army Commander General Rodolphe Haykal affirmed continued communication with Syrian authorities to secure the border, given the importance of this to the stability of both countries.
The Lebanese National News Agency quoted Haykal as saying Friday during a meeting with the Lebanese Army Command’s General Staff and a number of officers: “Communication is ongoing with the Syrian authorities regarding border security, as it is a matter of utmost importance to the stability of both countries.”
On the other hand, Haykal stressed the Lebanese Army’s readiness to give and sacrifice to confront existing challenges, especially the increasing violations and attacks by the Israeli enemy against Lebanon’s sovereignty and security.
