Amman, SANA-Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Abdul Salam Haykal, met members of the Syrian community in Jordan during his visit to the neighboring country and discussed with them ways of benefiting from Syrian expertise abroad.
Minister Haykal addressed the most prominent digital projects the ministry is working on and its cybersecurity field, stressing the importance of creating a viable environment for the return of specialized communications and technology professionals and leveraging their expertise to build the digital economy.
The Minister also reviewed the ministry’s plan to develop the digital infrastructure and enhance cybersecurity through advanced legislation and local and international partnerships, highlighting the importance of involving Syrian expatriates in driving digital transformation in Syria.
