Damascus-SANA- The first meeting of the Investigation Committee into the Sweida incidents was held today at the Ministry of Justice headquarters in Damascus.
The meeting was chaired by Justice Minister Mazhar al-Weis, who emphasized that the committee members should work in accordance with the basic principles that ensure justice for all victims. He stated that the results of the work must serve civil peace and restore security, safety, and stability to all components of the Syrian people.
Judge Hatem al-Naasan was chosen as chairman, and lawyer Ammar Ezzeddin as the official spokesperson. A permanent headquarters was designated for the committee within the Ministry of Justice, and two telephone lines were set to communicate with the people of Sweida and receive complaints. These lines are supervised by Judge Maysoun al-Tawil and lawyer Ammar Ezzeddin, who will announce the phone numbers soon to ensure everyone’s participation and justice for the victims.
