Aleppo, SANA – Aleppo Doctors Syndicate, in cooperation with
Unipharma, organized a scientific lecture entitled “Cardiovascular Drugs and Cancer.” The lecture was presented by Dr. Antoine Sayegh, an internal medicine specialist and member of the Syndicate’s Scientific Committee.
The lecture was attended by a select group of doctors and medical professionals. Some heart medications may play a preventative role against cancer, while others may increase the risk of developing it due to their side effects- Sayegh confirmed.
Dr. Sawsan Kharrat, representative of Unipharma, emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting advanced medical research and enabling Syrian doctors to access the latest knowledge, especially in complex fields such as the interaction between heart and cancer treatments.
