Ministry of Interior: ISIS Terrorist Cell dismantled in Idlib countryside

Idlib, SANA- The Ministry of Interior announced the dismantling of a terrorist cell affiliated with ISIS in Harem area of Idlib countryside, in cooperation with General Intelligence Service.

The Ministry of Interior quoted the commander of the Internal Security Forces in Idlib, Brigadier General Ghassan Mohammad Bakir, via its Telegram channel, as saying: “The Internal Security Command in the province, in cooperation with the General Intelligence Service, carried out a qualitative security operation targeting a terrorist cell affiliated with ISIS in the Harem area.”

He explained that during the operation, the Special Tasks Unit seized a weapons depot containing various quantities of weapons, including explosive vests, explosive devices, sniper rifles, light machine guns, and mortar shells, in addition to explosive materials and a workshop for manufacturing and booby-trapping. He noted that all the seized items were confiscated.

Brigadier General Bakir affirmed that the Internal Security Forces will continue to perform their national duty with determination and steadfastness until they eradicate anyone who dares to threaten the security of the homeland and its citizens.
