Daraa, SANA- The seventh humanitarian convoy arrived Friday at Busra al-Sham humanitarian corridor , in preparation for its entry into Sweida province.
The convoy carrying large quantities of aid, includes food baskets, relief supplies, and shelter materials.It comprises 28 trucks, including 19 trucks belonging to the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, 9 trucks from the commercial sector, a truck loaded with flour, and a diesel tanker designated for service needs.
The aid within the convoy includes materials provided by the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, the World Food Programme (WFP), the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), and the Aga Khan Foundation, as part of the joint cooperation between these organizations to provide humanitarian and service support to the people of Sweida.
“We are continuing to deliver humanitarian aid to Sweida Province, in coordination with relevant authorities and international partners, to meet the needs of affected families and alleviate their suffering.” a Syrian Arab Red Crescent official told SANA reporter, adding that previous convoys have been sent including food, medicine, and shelter materials, reflecting commitment to reaching all those in need without exception.”
The source stressed that the delivery of this aid reflects the
commitment of all participating parties to support the people and assist them in the current circumstances.
