Geneva, SANA- Syrian and Turkish officials held on Wednesday a meeting to discuss ways of boosting environmental partnership and addressing the accelerating challenges for the protection of environment.
The two sides tackled areas of developing legislative frameworks to reduce the use of plastics and launch projects to convert plastic waste into sustainable resources using advanced recycling technologies.
They also discussed means of strengthening the role of the private sector and civil society in awareness campaigns, waste collection, and reuse programs.
The Syrian and Turkish officials showed keenness to transforming the partnership into a regional model, emphasizing the importance of combining scientific expertise with political will to ensure a clean environment and a sustainable future for the coming generations.
