European Parliament delegation starts visit to Syria Saturday

Damascus, SANA-A delegation from the European Parliament headed by Vice-President for the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the European Parliament, Javier Couso arrives in Damascus on Saturday for a 2-day visit.

The 5-member delegation is due to meet Speaker of the People’s Assembly Hadiyeh Abbas and will visit Hamish hospital and a housing center.

The visit comes three months after a visit by a Belgian parliamentary delegation and another by a French delegation.
