Damascus, SANA – UN Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator office in Syria confirmed that the United Nations and its partners are actively working to provide aid in response to the situation in Sweida, through the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, and in full coordination with the Syrian authorities.
The office stated on its official Facebook page on Tuesday that a “new aid shipment containing essential supplies was delivered to the Syrian Arab Red Crescent today”.
The office indicated that UN vehicles had been dispatched to transport UN staff and their families affected by the events to safer locations. This to help UN staff to resume their duties in responding to the needs of the affected population.
