Damascus , SANA- Minister of Emergency and Disaster Management Raed Al-Saleh offered on Thursday his deepest condolences to Turkey and to the families of Turkish firefighters who died while performing their humanitarian duty in confronting forest fires in the Turkish state of Eskişehir
“With deep sadness and sorrow, we received the news of the deaths of ten Turkish firefighters while performing their humanitarian duty in combating forest fires in Eskisehir province,” Minister Al-Saleh said in a post on the X platform.
Al-Saleh added: “We, at the Ministry of Emergencies and Disaster Management in the Syrian Arab Republic, extend our deepest condolences and sympathy to the families of the martyrs, to the Minister of Interior, Ali Yerli Kaya, the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Ibrahim Yumakli, and to all the friendly Turkish people, asking God to have mercy on the martyrs, patience and solace for their families, and a speedy recovery for the injured.”
Ten firefighters died and 14 others were injured yesterday while trying to extinguish a blaze in the Seyitgazi district of Eskişehir province, central Turkey.
