UK renews call for ceasefire in Gaza

Sydney, SANA – British Foreign Secretary David Lammy reiterated calls on Friday for a ceasefire in Gaza Strip, stressing that the deteriorating situation in Gaza is “untenable.”

“The sight of children reaching for aid and losing their lives has caused consternation over much of the world, and that is why I repeat my call today for a ceasefire,” Reuters quoted Lammy as saying in a joint news conference with the Australian defense minister in Sydney.

International condemnation of the ongoing Israeli occupation crimes in Gaza continues, the most recent of which occurred several days ago when occupation forces opened fire on Palestinians gathering to receive international food aid.
