Amsterdam, SANA-The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced a ban on two Israeli ministers from entering the Netherlands due to their repeated and overt incitement to kill Palestinians.
According to the ministry, Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich have been officially listed in the Schengen system as “persona non grata.” The move comes in response to their continuous incitement against Palestinians, their encouragement of settler violence and expansion of colonies, as well as their repeated calls for ethnic cleansing in Gaza—actions which the Netherlands views as part of Israel’s ongoing war of extermination since October 2023.
Amid expressing several countries their intent to join South Africa’s genocide case against Israel at the International Court of Justice, Netherlands has voiced growing concern over Israeli threats directed at the International Criminal Court, which is based in The Hague, as the host country of major international legal bodies, the Dutch government emphasized that it holds a “special responsibility” to shield these institutions from foreign interference.
