Tartous, SANA- With participation of local and international parties and with the aim of stimulating commercial activity and supporting local industries marketing, the first Tartous Summer Shopping Festival opened Tuesday evening on corniche.
“The ten-day festival aims at boosting commercial and economic activity in the governorate”, Tartous Assistant Governor, Sami al-Zakh told SANA, adding “the large turnout at the festival encourages continuation and expansion of such events”.
For his part, Board Chairman of Laila foundation for International Exhibitions and Conferences, Ahmed Nabhan, said that more than 84 local and international companies participate in the festival, which is witnessing participation of Turkish party for the first time.
He noted that efforts are underway to attract well-known Syrian commercial and industrial companies which sell their products directly to consumers, without intermediaries, and at reduced prices.
