Damascus, SANA- Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Damascus, Alnur Shah Huseynov, said on Wednesday that the flow of Azerbaijani natural gas to Syria via Turkey, scheduled for August 2nd , 2025, represents a historic event awaited by the two friendly peoples and embodies the depth of bilateral cooperation.
“The summit that brought together Presidents Ahmad al-Sharaa and Ilham Aliyev in the capital, Baku, on July 12, during President al-Sharaa’s official visit to Azerbaijan, gave fruits to that historic event that will contribute to enhancing strategic cooperation between the two countries,” Mr. Huseynov told SANA in a statement.
He added that the new Syrian administration, led by President Ahmad al-Sharaa, is working continuously to solve all problems facing the Syrian people, especially economic ones, with the aim of pushing the circle of development forwards and improving the standard of life of citizens.
