Syrian Foreign Ministry Technical Delegation meets a delegation from the state of Sudan

Khartoum, SANA – Within the framework of strengthening bilateral relations between the Syrian Arab Republic and the sisterly Republic of Sudan, an official meeting was held on Monday, August 4, between the technical delegation of the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, represented by the head of the delegation, Mohammed Abdul Salam, and the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, represented by the Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry, Ambassador Ahmed Youssef, the Director of Arab Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Abdul Azim Al-Karouri, and the Director of Consulates at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Onur Ahmed, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Port Sudan.

During the meeting, the both sides reviewed the historical relations between the two brotherly countries and stressed the importance of advancing them towards greater cooperation and coordination in various fields.

Both sides emphasized the importance of reopening the Syrian diplomatic mission in Sudan. Ambassador Youssef stressed his country’s readiness to provide the necessary facilities for the mission’s return and the exercise of its duties.

They agreed on the importance of creating appropriate conditions for the return of Syrian businessmen and enhancing economic and investment cooperation between the two countries.
